May 16 Colonial Coffee – To celebrate America 250, French Azilum is holding a coffee event instead of our traditional tea. After the Sons of Liberty destroyed 342 chests of tea at the Boston Tea Party in response to the British Tea Tax some colonists chose to start buying coffee instead of tea. Come tour the LaPorte House and get a sneak peak at this years historical clothing display. This year will be American and French Colonial clothing. Enjoy Coffee and snacks while learning about the settlers of French Azilum who fought in the American Revolution. Appearances by Queen Marie Antionette and her Maid in Waiting Marie Homet are expected. $15.00 Per Person.

May 30 Wellness Day – A treat for your mind and body. We have a variety of activities for you to try, Yoga, Tai Chi and more. There will be presentations on various health topics, and a healthy lunch is included. Join us to recharge and reconnect with yourself. $35.00 per person

June 6 Blacksmithing and Wool Spinning – Two great workshops! Let our French Azilum Artisans teach you how to turn a piece of metal into something beautiful and useful with fire, imagination and tools powered by your own strength and determination or sit down with your favorite beverage to sip as you learn to spin raw wool into yarn on a traditional spinning wheel. Must Pre-Register space for both workshops is limited. $40.00 per person

July 11 Family Fun Day – Bring the kids for a day of Free Fun. One of the Best days of the season! Kids will get to enjoy and be Amazed by a magician. Have fun watching fun ballon animals and shapes created by our Balloon Artist. Touch a truck with Local Fire Companies and the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office. Kids- Free admission, Parent/Guardian $2.00 per person

July 12 Descendants Day – If you are a descendant of one of the French Settlers at Azilum, we invite you to come visit and hear the history of your ancestors. Descendants - Free admission

Jul 31 – Aug 2 Civil War Weekend (A Soldier’s Rest) – A Union Civil War encampment. Come out and learn about Pennsylvania’s 141st Volunteer Infantry and the 4 U.S. Light Artillery. The 141st was made up of volunteers from Bradford County and a few surrounding counties. There is a good chance that you may be related to one of the brave soldiers that fought to save our Union. You will get to see how the soldiers camped, trained, what they ate, and how they entertained themselves. You will also get to hear the thundering sound of cannon fire and see the night sky lit up during a nighttime cannon fire from the 4th U.S. Light Artillery. Admission Adults $20.00, Students $7.00, 12 and under Free.

Aug. 22-23 Revolutionary Days (Hartley’s 1778 Expedition) – A Revolutionary War Reenactment of Col. Hartley’s 1778 Expediton through Bradford County. General Washington sent Col. Hartley’s North from Muncy, Pennsylvania in response to the Wyoming Massacre. He was to push back British and Native forces. Hartley moved north and engages with British led Native forces meeting them in skirmishes and Battles that took place here in Bradford County. Watch the battles rage as Colonial Army and Militia drive back British Regulars leading Seneca, Onondaga and Delaware Warriors! Tour the encampments, talk with the reenactors, enjoy the gallery of Bradford County Historical Societies, talk to the DAR and see the list of Bradford County Soldiers that fought in the Revolutionary War. Interactive games and scavenger hunt for kids and families and so much more! Admission - Adults $20.00, Student $7.00, 12 and under Free.

Sept. 12 Antique Fair – Antiques, Collectables and Yard Sale items make this the place to be on Sept. 12. Whether you are hunting for vintage collectables, jewelry, or unique décor French Azilum is the perfect place to uncover something special. Admission is $5.00 per person. Oct. 17 Escape the Guillotine – Use your wits, hidden clues and ciphers to work your way through our rooms to successfully escape Richelieu and his bloody guillotine. It can be intense as you face these challenging puzzles in a race against time. Don’t loose your head… Queen Marie Antionette is counting on you! Must be 15 or older. Pre-Register for a time slot, groups limited to people. Admission $20.00 per person
